Спасибі pentru informatii.
Cat costa calatoria?

Daca ar fi ca aia, i-as plati si amenda, in natura

Hello, i am from Kharkov. Can't speak romanian, but know english a little bit. Please ask me questions about transportation in our city and near it

Re: Ucraina - Kharkov stakee

Do any of the Rocar/Dac trolleybuses operate or at least exist in a state of conservation?

Re: Ucraina - Kharkov Buba

http://transphoto.ru/list.php?serv=0&mid=470&cid=101 page of Kharkov rocars on transportation photosite. Dacs are scrapped, rocars seems to be conserved about year ago. But relevant information is unknown

Several comments about posts in this topic.

Only elevated track of our metro. Bridge over the swamp and small river. http://wikimapia.org/13157104/Kharkiv-Metro-Bridge

Quite rare 81-718/719 train. Built in early 90s. In use at the green line of Kharkov metro and in Tashkent

Depot of the red and green line. http://wikimapia.org/3073000/ru/

At the left you see electric locomotive for cargo tram line. We had three of them. They are not in service, but seems to be conserved. Made from MTV-82 in our tram service plant. http://transphoto.ru/photo/282072/ here is photo in action. Line was from http://wikimapia.org/14368616/Connecting-gate to http://wikimapia.org/10236728/ru/Кондитерская-фабрика-«Харьковчанка» , quite short. Line was rarely used for cargo and regularly for passenger traffic. Cargo traffic was cancelled at middle 90s, passenger at 2001. Tracks were very bad. Line removed in 2013.

Tram in depot. viewtopic.php?p=50799#p50799 This comment is not correct, or badly translated by google.
http://wikimapia.org/7370547/ru/Салтовское-трамвайное-депо here is map. It is really huge, but has no connection with railroads at all. Placed near the city border to cover huge district (about 350k) with trams. Built at 70s. To the left on the map you see abandoned trolleybus depot, never in service.

The comment just says the depot is near the train station and the railroad tracks, not connected with them, so it was, maybe, just a bad translation.

Re: Ucraina - Kharkov Buba

No railroads in this part of city

Re: Ucraina - Kharkov Costin

To be honest, it is a bit unclear for me what he wanted to say (his phrase is a bit confusing in Romanian as well), this is the best translation i could give, in these conditions:

"As you can see in picture no. 11 of the tram no. 4555, you can see how big is this depot because it is next to the Ucrainian Railroad (Company), it is the biggest depot in the country and at about 1km there is the train station, this is because around the year '88 there was a locomotive depot in that area." At least this is what I understood...

Re: Ucraina - Kharkov Buba

This district was built approximately in 1968-1980 just in unpopulated location. Before the construction here were some small agriculturlal facilities, but never railroad. Closest railroad is about the metro depot, link in my above post, in 8 km or so. Really it is other side of city. Passenger terminal is 15 km away

Re: Ucraina - Kharkov Buba

About trolleybuses. We have several variants of ZIU-682, LAZ E301 (articulated) and LAZ E183 (short) in passenger service. LAZ were bought to Euro 2012. Several ZIU-683 and UMZ-T1 also present. Recently city bought some second hand Skoda 14Tr from Riga. Contract is not finished, so new 14Tr still arrive. ROCARs 217 are keeped in depot. For service needs we have several cargo KTG trolleybuses, made in Kiev.
City had two depots, one is abandoned and one is cancelled during construction.

Several photos:

Modern variant of ZIU-682:

Old variant of ZIU-682:

Very old variant of the same. Only one car is alive, used for drivers education:

Main visual difference is form of lights.

LAZ E183:

LAZ E301:

Notice that second and third axle are drived

UMZ-T1

Very common practice in other city is removing of trailer in case of some accident or electric fail. Such short trolleybuses were in production, called UMZ-T2. But in Kharkov were never had them.

ZIU-683

Only second axle is drived. This trolleybus is underpowered and not suitable for hilly cities

KTG

Initially it had petroleum and electric engine, so radiator grill is present behind the lifter. Trolleybus with engine really is bus, so we have some law collision like need of license plate and so on. And engine is weak (95 hp) and with very bad fuel economy, so it is removed often.

Re: Ucraina - Kharkov PTMZ

UKRAINE: Chinese manufacturer CRRC Tangshan has been selected as the winner of a contract to supply eight five-car trainsets for the Kharkiv metro.

Scheduled for delivery in 2022, the trains will be 96·7 m long and 2 700 mm wide with a maximum speed of 80 km/h.

The €45m deal announced on May 27 includes the provision of spare parts, tools and support services.

Tenders were called in June 2019 and bids submitted in October. Announcement of the winning bidder had been scheduled for February 10, but was twice delayed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

The order is being funded by the government, which has signed loan agreements with the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development and the European Investment Bank. The loans will help to finance a €382m project to extend metro Line 3 south by 3·47 km adding new stations at Derzhavinska and Odeska, along with construction of another depot and the acquisition of new rolling stock.

Ukrainian rolling stock supplier KVSZ had also bid for the train contract, and expressed displeasure at the outcome. KVSZ said the difference in the tender price had only been 1%, well within EIB’s permitted limits on paying extra to give preference to domestic suppliers. It believed that its trains would offer a significantly lower whole-life cost than those from its Chinese competitor.

Re: Ucraina - Kharkov PTMZ

The European Investment Bank (EIB) proposes a EUR 75 million loan for Kharkiv tram project, following the appraisal of the project that has a total eligible value of EUR 100 million.

The project consists of investment in new trams and related infrastructure.

The project is targeting the renewal of Kharkiv City’s tram fleet and the related equipment, with the aim to modernise and increase the effectiveness of the urban electric transport network.

The Acting Mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov has previously announced that in September it is planned to unveil the first tram car manufactured in the city, under the Kharkiv tram procurement project. The trams are produced and assembled in Kharkiv.

According to the Mayor, the new tram should start operating in 2022.

The introduction of the new trams will solve the city’s surface public transport system, Ihor Terekhov said at the beginning of 2021.

The acquisition of low–floor trams is a programme implemented by the City Council under the Ecopolis HTZ (Hi-Tech Zone) business park, a long–term investment project launched by DCH, a company owned by Aleksandr Yaroslavskyi. The businessman has committed to invest EUR 5.5 million for the production of low-floor trams, from the design phase to the manufacturing process and commissioning of the new vehicles. In 2020, DCH Group said that it is planned to start mass production of new trams within two years. According to DCH, the engineering and consulting support of the project will be provided by the partners from the Czech Republic.
As the city does not afford to acquire European or foreign trams, the authorities have started the discussions with DCH Group to be involved in tram manufacturing project carried out at Ecopolis HTZ. Following negotiations, the city government committed to buy the new trams. In long term, the new vehicles will be available also for other cities in Ukraine which need to renew their fleet. More than 90 per cent of the national tram fleet is over 20 years old and more than 50 per cent needs urgent replacement.

The new plant is expected to manufacture 50 tram cars pers year, and if market demand will increase, there are plans to increase the capacity.
