Aron scrie:Sper ca te-a ajutat raspunsul Tom, daca ai intrebari, te rog pune.
Спасибі pentru informatii.
Cat costa calatoria?

Daca ar fi ca aia, i-as plati si amenda, in natura

Do any of the Rocar/Dac trolleybuses operate or at least exist in a state of conservation?

Several comments about posts in this topic.

Quite rare 81-718/719 train. Built in early 90s. In use at the green line of Kharkov metro and in Tashkent

At the left you see electric locomotive for cargo tram line. We had three of them. They are not in service, but seems to be conserved. Made from MTV-82 in our tram service plant. http://transphoto.ru/photo/282072/ here is photo in action. Line was from http://wikimapia.org/14368616/Connecting-gate to http://wikimapia.org/10236728/ru/Кондитерская-фабрика-«Харьковчанка» , quite short. Line was rarely used for cargo and regularly for passenger traffic. Cargo traffic was cancelled at middle 90s, passenger at 2001. Tracks were very bad. Line removed in 2013.

http://wikimapia.org/7370547/ru/Салтовское-трамвайное-депо here is map. It is really huge, but has no connection with railroads at all. Placed near the city border to cover huge district (about 350k) with trams. Built at 70s. To the left on the map you see abandoned trolleybus depot, never in service.

The comment just says the depot is near the train station and the railroad tracks, not connected with them, so it was, maybe, just a bad translation.

To be honest, it is a bit unclear for me what he wanted to say (his phrase is a bit confusing in Romanian as well), this is the best translation i could give, in these conditions:

"As you can see in picture no. 11 of the tram no. 4555, you can see how big is this depot because it is next to the Ucrainian Railroad (Company), it is the biggest depot in the country and at about 1km there is the train station, this is because around the year '88 there was a locomotive depot in that area." At least this is what I understood...

This district was built approximately in 1968-1980 just in unpopulated location. Before the construction here were some small agriculturlal facilities, but never railroad. Closest railroad is about the metro depot, link in my above post, in 8 km or so. Really it is other side of city. Passenger terminal is 15 km away

About trolleybuses. We have several variants of ZIU-682, LAZ E301 (articulated) and LAZ E183 (short) in passenger service. LAZ were bought to Euro 2012. Several ZIU-683 and UMZ-T1 also present. Recently city bought some second hand Skoda 14Tr from Riga. Contract is not finished, so new 14Tr still arrive. ROCARs 217 are keeped in depot. For service needs we have several cargo KTG trolleybuses, made in Kiev.
City had two depots, one is abandoned and one is cancelled during construction.

Several photos:

Modern variant of ZIU-682:

Old variant of ZIU-682:

Very old variant of the same. Only one car is alive, used for drivers education:

Main visual difference is form of lights.

LAZ E183:

UMZ-T1

Very common practice in other city is removing of trailer in case of some accident or electric fail. Such short trolleybuses were in production, called UMZ-T2. But in Kharkov were never had them.

ZIU-683

Only second axle is drived. This trolleybus is underpowered and not suitable for hilly cities

Initially it had petroleum and electric engine, so radiator grill is present behind the lifter. Trolleybus with engine really is bus, so we have some law collision like need of license plate and so on. And engine is weak (95 hp) and with very bad fuel economy, so it is removed often.
