Un nou venit pe piata e-busurilor, MAZ cu modelul 303E10. al doilea e-bus cu motorizare ZF CeTrax si cu autonomie de 300 km.

MAZ adds an electric bus to its portfolio. The Belarusian manufacturer (complete name: Minsk Automobile Plant) unveiled a few days ago the MAZ 303E10, which also stands out for being the second vehicle equipped with the brand new electric central motor CeTrax by ZF (the first is the Solaris Urbino 15 LE Electric). Deliveries should start in 2021.

MAZ unveils an electric bus

MAZ electric bus (12.43m lenghts) is built on a low-floor platform and features, according to the press release by MAZ a «412 Ah» battery. That figures, coupled with an hypothetic voltage of 660 V (common to several electric bus batteries, for instance Solaris and Akasol ones), gives a value of some 270 kWh. The range stated by the manufacturer is 300 km. The manufacturer points out that, in developing the electric bus layout, is has been possible to increase the glazed surface of one third compared to a conventional drive bus.

ZF CeTrax for MAZ 303E10 electric bus

The electric bus MAZ 303E10, which was developed within the third-generation of the MAZ 303 bus range, adopts the ZF CeTrax, which can deliver up to 300 kW. Batteries can be charged both by alternating current or with plug-in CCS2 connection (for four hours), with connector placed in the rear compartment. In the vehicle there is technically room for more than 70 passengers (30 of them seated).

All rows of seats 0n MAZ electric bus are equipped with USB ports. Sliding ramp for wheelchair couldn’t be missing. Heating, MAZ points out, is entirely electrically-powered.

As mentioned on Electrive (based on a local source), Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has ordered MAZ to produce ten electric buses for use in the country.

Trecand peste faptul ca design-ul este copiat dupa Solaris, absolut nici un oras din Romania nu a avut experiente pozitive cu vehiculele MAZ, din 2004 si pana in prezent. Deci...

Nu e nevoie de dulap full height pentru componentele respective. Dulapul este necesar pentru volumul ocupat de un motor diesel + sistemle auxiliare antrenate de el.

Carcoteala mea este ca din diverse considerente (mai ieftin, scos produsul mai rapid pe piata) au refolosit caroseria autobuzului diesel, desi echipamentele de tractiune ar fi putut fi dosite prin alte cotloane (inclusiv acoperis) si ar fi permis o impartire a interiorului mai prietenoasa cu publicul calator.

MINSK, 18 February (BelTA) – The Belarusian automobile engineering company MAZ has presented a new electric bus MAZ 303E10 in Kiev. The new product borrows heavily from the third-generation bus MAZ 303, the press service of the Belarusian company told BelTA.

The new bus is powered by a 300kW CeTrax electric motor from the German company ZF. The motor boasts low electricity consumption. The bus can travel for 280-320km thanks to batteries with the capacity of 412Ah (285kWh). It takes from 4 to 6 hours to charge the batteries.

The bus's external dimensions are adapted to an urban environment. It is 12.43m long, 2.55m wide, and 3.3m high. It offers 30 seats and can carry 72 passengers. The electric bus has a low floor (320mm above the pavement). One of the doors is fitted with a retractable ramp for low-mobility passengers. All the seat rows are fitted with USB ports to allow passengers to charge their smartphones and tablets on the go.

MAZ 303E10 has larger than standard panoramic windows. A comfortable microclimate is maintained in the salon thanks to an air conditioner and heaters. The bus's framework is made of rustproof pipes while the exterior body is made of aluminum and plastic. The batteries are designed for 3,000 charging cycles. The bus has a total of 18 batteries, including 12 on the roof and six in a special compartment near the motor.

The driver's cab is equipped with a digital dashboard. The display shows every detail including data from rain sensors, light sensors, and ECAS and EBS safety systems. Automatic diagnostics of all the onboard systems is available.

The MAZ press service said the electric bus will be used to transport passengers along a standard Kiev route. Its performance will be tested to determine the real cruising range with turned-on heaters during winter and the precise charging time. After the trials the city administration will decide on the advisability of replacing diesel buses with electric ones in Kiev's downtown.

MAZ is one of Belarus' largest mechanical engineering companies. It specializes in making heavy-duty trucks, special-purpose vehicles, buses, trolleybuses, and trailing units. MAZ is a well-known international brand. MAZ vehicles are compliant with the environmental standards Euro-5 and Euro-6. The company makes a total of over 500 models and modifications of tractor units, dropside trucks, and chassis for mounting various kinds of equipment.
