Inca 1 din cele 5 sisteme inca active de troleibuz din SUA s-a inchis. Au mai ramas 4.

De ce? Pentru ca le vor inlocui ei cu autobuze electrice, ...candva ...in 2024. Treaba asta cu inchiderea transportului electric (troleibuz, tramvai) cu promisiunea indepartata a inlocuirii cu autobuze electrice este o ineptie, clar rau-voitoare si cu motive reale ascunse.

DE CE nu ai astepta macar sa si vina autobuzele electrice mai intai, astfel incat sa existe macar o continuitate a transportului electric si o "predare a stafetei"?! Pe cand asa, suspenzi troleibuzul cu surle si trambite sub promisiunea unor autobuze electrice peste cativa ani. Atat de multe lucruri pot merge rau: anularea achizitiei de autobuze elecrice, intarzierea considerabila a livrarii, defectiuni care ar putea conduce la anularea/intarzierea masiva a achizitiei, etc. Intr-o lume in care climate change-ul nu mai este un mit, de ce sa plimbi diesel cativa ani buni in perioada de "tranzitie" dinspre troleibuz spre autobuzele cu baterii?

Capitala NZ, Wellington, si-a suspendat de asemenea reteaua de troleibuz cu promisiunea ca troleibuzele vor fi convertite in autobuze pe baterii. ...in 2017. Au taiat toata reteaua, care era de-a dreptul impresionanta (va las sa cautati fotografii) si apoi n-au mai convertit nimic si nici nu o vor mai face. Circula pe diesel de atunci... Acum deplang troleibuzul.

Sa mai zic de Piatra Neamt care tot asa si-a masacrat reteaua sub promisiunea unor autobuze electrice care nici pana astazi nu au venit si care habar n-avem cat vor fi de calitative si cum se vor comporta in exploatare?
Reteaua s-a dus...

Pur si simplu, peste tot in lume asistam la politicieni care iau decizii electorale, promit autobuze electrice si distrug iremediabil transportul cu adevarat electric.

Boston: No more trolley buses in Cambridge

Despite considerable criticism from various sides, trolley bus service in the Boston district of Cambridge ended in the early morning of 13 March 2022: The last trolley bus, no. 4104 arrived at the depot, and only a few hours later hybrid buses took over service on both remaining lines 71 and 73. The conversion to battery buses is planned by 2024, and the depot will be converted accordingly.

The route of the so-called Silverlines SL1, 2 and 3, which are operated in trolleybus mode using 2 km of overhead line on a tunnel sectionstarting at South Station, will also be converted in the course of this year. This will mark the end of trolley bus service in Boston after 86 years of operation. The network had reached a considerable expansion in the late 1940s with up to 43 lines, but had already shrunk to four lines 71, 72, 73 and 77N by 1964. Electric service was only maintained at all at the time because these lines served a short tunnel section at Harvard Metro Station. Duo-bus service on the Silverlines began in 2004.

Nu m-ar mira ca e-Busurile sa fie de la BYD, tinand cont de inclinatiile Democratilor din Boston (wink wink!).
