Alstom’s first rolling stock contract in Romania: a proven, world-class train for the travelling public of Bucharest

A contract worth over €100 million, with the possibility of extension up to €240 milion

3 November 2020 – Alstom has been awarded a contract by Metrorex SA, the state-owned Bucharest metro operator, to provide a total of up to 30 Metropolis trains to run on the newly built Line 5 of the city’s metro network, delivered in two lots. The value of the contract for the first 13 trains is over €100 million. This contract can be extended with an option for another 17 trains, based on customer’s order, the total estimated value of the project could go up to €240 million.
The first train will be delivered in less than 29 months and will circulate on the first section of the new metro line, that is already in operation. The other 12 trains of the first lot will be delivered immediately after the homologation of the first one, while the optional lot of 17 units will be delivered based on a firm request from the Bucharest metro operator.

Each of the six-car trains for Bucharest will have 216 seats in a longitudinal seating arrangement and provide two special access areas for passengers with limited mobility. The trains have a specific configuration, customised for Bucharest metro: stainless steel car body shells, 114 metres long and 3 metres wide, providing a total capacity of 1,200 passengers. The final configuration, colours and finishes will be fully customised according to the requirements of the customer, to be established during the collaborative design stage. The trains will have onboard CBTC units, to be compatible with the latest trackside signalling technology.

Passengers will benefit from a range of innovations to make the joureys more efficient and more comfortable, including internal noise attenuation, four double doors per car per side, large windows, LED lighting and real-time passenger information, such as dynamic route map. The trains have features that allow for optimum passenger flow: wide doors, large gangways and dedicated areas for people with disabilities.

Cred ca o sa fie ceva asemănător cu ce e în Amsterdam, mai ales la sunet!  
Curios în schimb ce schema va dori Metrorex, sper ca nu o culoare specifica magistralei ca CAF-urile cu albastru, adică astea portocalii!  

Eu mizez ca vor suna la fel ca cele de la vecinii nostri unguri.  
La design ma astept la ceva de zile mari, desi dorinta mea era sa avem design-ul ca in Amsterdam.    

Sa speram ca vor fi asemănătoare la sunet, dar nu la design asa, ca arata oribil, iar Metrorex are pretenții cum e si normal la design.
Sau Amsterdam...

Parerile sunt subiective legate de design, unora le place, altora nu.  

Nu mă știu eu în de-ale metroului, dar care e treaba legată de modul în care „sună” garniturile? Scopul lor e să intre în stații cu sunetele simfoniilor lui Beethoven sau de a transporta călători din A în B? A nu se considera un mesaj răutăcios, dar chiar sunt curios care e chestiunea asta cu sunetele.

Bombardierele de la noi prin asta s-au remarcat, sunetul pe care îl emit. Prin asta se impun după părerea mea metrourile în general... Ține și de confortul tău ca și călător. Dar avem distanțe unde sunt așa de gălăgioase (orice tren), și CAF și BM și IVA din cauza curbei mult prea bruște. Ca Titan- Georgian, Gara de Nord- Piața Victoriei M 1...

Ca tot vorbeam de "simfonii".  

In privinta zgomotului sunt cerinte destul de stricte ca e si asta un mod de poluare.

Polueaza fonic cartitele care isi fac veacul subteran? Sa fim seriosi, este un factor de poluare real daca circula preponderent la suprafata, prin fata unor cladiri, nu pe sub ele....
Hai sa ne legam de chestii mai serioase, nu doar de cat de zgomotoase sunt noile trenuri. Majoritatea oamenilor in metrou stau fie cu "dopuri" in urechi, fie stau cu telefonul atasat de ureche, deci nu aud ei prea mult zgomotul de fundal.
Uite eu sunt curios, de exemplu, daca trenurile noastre vor fi sau nu "inclinate" sau vor fi drepte ca cele prezentate de voi... Vad ca nimeni nu s-a intrebat chestia asta.

Zgomotul in banda audio e deranjant pentru calatori nu pentru vecinatati si se accentueaza daca sunt geamurile deschise.
Pentru vecinatati conteaza vibratiile ground borne
Obligatoriu vor fi inclinate, s-a mai discutat si clarificat aspectul.

Uite eu sunt curios, de exemplu, daca trenurile noastre vor fi sau nu "inclinate" sau vor fi drepte ca cele prezentate de voi... Vad ca nimeni nu s-a intrebat chestia asta.

Inclinate adica cu profil trapezoidal? Daca da atunci da, trapezoidale vor fi, ca asa e gabaritul metroului.

Vom avea trenuri cu un profil elegant nu unul butucanos.

Sa speram ca dupa ce vin 2-4 rame asamblate exclusiv la francezi sa nu le duca in Grivita pentru defecte, șuruburi puse gresit...  
Cred ca se optează fie pentru "uzina mama" din Militari fie pentru Softronic!
