    De menționat că M4 este o fostă porțiune a M2. Dacă nu mă înșel, trenurile care ajung la Obelia de pe M2 continuă pe M4 până la aeroport și invers, de pe M4 continuă pe M2 până la Vitoșa, așa cum era și înainte de această scindare.

    Asa este. Obelya e o simpla statie intermediara, trenurile continuand de pe M2 pe M4, si invers.

    Metropoliten EAD a lansat în decembrie 2022 o licitație pe 2 loturi pentru 16 trenuri noi de metrou, cu un buget total alocat de 250 milioane leva (aproximativ 128 milioane euro).

    Cele două loturi apar după cum urmează:
    1. Primul lot prevede 8 trenuri noi care să deservească linia M3, ce va fi extinsă de la Hadzhi Dimitar (Hagi Dimitrie) la Vladimir Vazov cu 3 stații. Metrourile cerute aici vor fi, evident, fără mecanic.
    2. Al doilea lot vizează 8 trenuri noi pentru depoul Obelia, implicit pentru cele 3 linii ale acestuia (M1, M2 și M4). Acestea vor înlocui ultimele 4 garnituri MVM 81-717/714 "Nomernoi" clasice (care nu au mai putut fi trimise la modernizat în Rusia în versiunea "Panda" din cauza invaziei din Ucraina) și, posibil, vor servi drept supliment pentru cele 20 de trenuri de metrou "Rusici".

    Ofertele pot fi depuse până pe 21 aprilie.

    ...iar ofertele primite sunt doua. Pentru metrourile automatizate pentru M3 a ofertat doar Siemens, pentru celelalte 8 metrouri a ofertat doar Skoda (prin dealer-ul sau, pe persoana fizica).

    Iar Skoda cel mai probabil va veni cu modelul de la Varsovia, avand in vedere ca se pliaza pe cerintele lor.

    Lotul 2 a fost atribuit catre Skoda, ce confirma ca vor veni cu un design identic cu cele de la Varsovia.

The metro system in Sofia is conceptually based on the trains supplied to Warsaw, but unlike them, the Bulgarian metro will have air-conditioning.     Iar pentru cele driverless a fost confirmata atribuirea catre Siemens (+Newag), care au ofertat cu Inspiro cel existent.

    De ieri, au intrat în circulație primele 4 metrouri Șkoda 21Mt. În total, sunt livrate 7, mai trebuie livrat ultimul, al 8-lea.

    De asemenea, în iulie se estimează că va fi inaugurată extensia estică a liniei M3, de la Hagi Dimitrie (Hadzhi Dimitar) spre est, cu 3 stații: "Stadion Gheorghi Asparuhov", "Basarabia" și "General Vladimir Vazov". La anul, în 2027, se estimează că va fi deschisă noua ramificație M6 din cartierul Slatina, care va porni din M3. Pentru moment, stațiile "Teatralna" și "Hadzhi Dimitar" sunt închise pentru a se lucra la racordarea viitoarei M6 de la "Orlov Most".

    The Sofia metro is introducing a new generation of rolling stock, with the first four compositions starting to carry passengers from May 26. The modern machines were presented in the metro depot "Obelya" by the Mayor of Sofia Vasil Terziev.

    So far, seven of the eight ordered quadricent trains from the Czech manufacturer "Skoda" have been delivered to the capital, winning the public procurement. The last composition is expected in June 2026. The total cost of the investment is €68.5 million, with a train cost of around €8.6 million. The project is funded with the assistance of the Operational Programme "Transport and Transport Infrastructure" 2014-2020, under which a pre-financing of EUR 25.4 million excluding VAT is also provided.

    The new trains will run on the first, second and fourth lines. They will replace the oldest ensembles in the landfill, delivered in 1991 and put into operation 28 years ago (in 1998). "Tens of thousands of people will feel the difference in the way they move on a daily basis," Vasil Terziev emphasized.

    The trains are designed according to modern European standards. Each train is nearly 80 meters long and weighs 116.3 tons, and its design speed reaches 90 km/h. The salon is one-space and completely passable between the wagons, which facilitates the movement of people. The capacity of one composition is up to 762 passengers, and specialized areas are provided for people with reduced mobility, strollers and bicycles.

    Among the main advantages of trains are modern air conditioning systems, improved noise and vibration insulation, as well as a modern video surveillance system with recording in energy memory for greater security. The trains are extremely economical – they are equipped with asynchronous motors with the possibility of recuperation (return) of energy, which provides 28% lower current consumption compared to older models.

    The introduction of the new trains will reduce the traffic intervals, which is key for the second line because of the upcoming construction of the new metro station "Pancho Vladigerov" between "Slivnitsa" and "Obelya".

    The renewal of the rolling stock will continue with the delivery of 8 more new trains from Siemens Inspiro for the third line. The contract for them was concluded in July 2023, with deliveries to begin in October this year and due to be completed by February 2027.

    Mayor Vasil Terziev also announced the current deadlines for the expansion of the metro network in Sofia. This summer, the route to "Poduyane" with 3 new stations will be launched, and at the end of 2027 the 6 stations through the "Slatina" district will be ready. A contract for the construction of a new two-kilometer section along Blvd. is to be signed. "Queen Joanna" in "Lyulin", and the route in the direction of "Studentski Grad" is currently being actively designed.


    Din discuțiile de pe forum.gtsofia.info, ultimele 4 garnituri 81-717/714 "Nomernoi" nemodernizate încă ies la traseu, cam câte 1-2 observate simultan. Anul trecut, deja mai circulau doar în timpul săptămânii, la orele de vârf, deci zilele lor sunt numărate.
